frames.tunnel (2003)

The shape of a window is taken up and “pulled inside”. According to the shape wooden frames attached with nylon strings form a tunnel.
The two facades of the huge building in Prora/Ruegen (once built by the Nazis für their program “Kraft-durch-Freude”) are connected, one facing the sea, the other facing the countryside of the island. The skeleton of the tunnel picks up the constant movement of the wind streaming through the deserted building and reacts on the smallest gust of wind.
