slightabsence (2008)

Within three different interiors the fake cast of sunshine, according to the shape of the actual windows, is beamed onto the walls by a projector. In each space the projection is running at a different speed of a clockwork. In the first, it moves at the pace of the minute hand, in the second at the pace of the hour hand and in the last it stands absolutely still.
These three spaces in Amsterdam were not accessible at the same time, but could be visited one after the other, opening when the last was closed after a week of presentation.
Presented at the Badische Kunstverein in Karlsruhe, three casts of light with different paces were installed at the same time in one building. In consideration for the path of the visitors the appearance and the speed was transformed.
